AMD FX-9000 Centurion Challenge Core i7 Haswell

Rumors about the 8-core AMD processor with a clock speed of 5 GHz could be true. FX-9000 and FX-8770 is a series that will be used by the processor codenamed Centurion. Highest clock speeds are owned by FX-9000 with 4.8 GHz, the higher the turbo mode with a clock speed of up to 5 GHz.


Unfortunately not yet known how the FX-8770 clock speed that will fill the lower class, but certainly they will adopt AM3 + socket.

Most interesting is the power needed, supposedly FX-9000 will require 220 watts of power, especially when running in turbo clock speeds. Increased dramatically compared to the FX-8350 which requires a total of 125 watts of power to run it.


As for the time of its release, as quoted ComputerDailyNews from TechPowerUp, Tuesday (04/06/2013), is on the upcoming E3 event or about September 11 to 13 June 2013. Centurion is certainly interesting when AMD FX-9000 is released to the market and faced with a fourth-generation Intel Core processor or better known as Haswell.

In a statement released Megagames, Intel  with confidence, one of the tech giant will boast of capabilities possessed the flagship processor.

Reportedly, the highest price which is owned Core i7 4770K comes with unlocked multiplier has happened. This product is priced at USD 327. While the cheapest price tag is owned by Core i5 4570S for USD 180.
