Rumors about the 8-core AMD processor with a clock speed of
5 GHz could be true. FX-9000 and FX-8770 is a series that will be used by the
processor codenamed Centurion. Highest clock speeds are owned by FX-9000 with
4.8 GHz, the higher the turbo mode with a clock speed of up to 5 GHz.
Unfortunately not yet known how the FX-8770 clock speed that
will fill the lower class, but certainly they will adopt AM3 + socket.
Most interesting is the power needed, supposedly FX-9000
will require 220 watts of power, especially when running in turbo clock speeds.
